How to use a rotary cylinder?
-
Rotary cylinder, a rotary shaft is driven by air pressure to do rotary motion, and available rotary angles: 90˚, 180˚ and 270˚. And there are 2 types of structure: vane and rack.
-
➤ Actuating principle of vane type rotary cylinder
- Please make sure there is back pressure in cylinder to prevent the main rod from rotating suddenly when actuating.
- When air gets in the cylinder from left port, the main rod will rotate clockwise, and it will stop until contacted adjusting block and finished rotation. The air in cylinder will be exhausted from right port.
- When air gets in the cylinder from right port, the main rod will rotate counterclockwise, and it will stop until contacted adjusting block and finished rotation. The air in cylinder will be exhausted from left port.

- Please make sure there is back pressure in cylinder to prevent the piston from actuating suddenly.
- When air gets in the front cover from top port, the top piston will be pushed to right side. Meanwhile, another air source will go through the guide channel and push bottom piston to left. The gear rod will rotate clockwise, and it will stop until contacted shock absorber and finished rotation.
