How to use a rodless cylinder?
-
For those actuating components in pneumatic system, the main purposes are loading, clamping, positioning and cutting…etc., and there are several types: cartridge cylinder, free mount cylinder, compact cylinder, stop cylinder, linear guide cylinder, dual rod cylinder, guide cylinder and rodless cylinder per type.
-
Two types of rodless cylinder: mechanically jointed rodless air cylinder and magnetic rodless air cylinder.

➤ Actuating principle of magnetic rodless air cylinder
- Please make sure there is back pressure in cylinder to prevent the piston from actuating suddenly.
- When air gets in the cylinder from left port, the piston will be pushed to right side by air, and the air in stainless steel tube will be exhausted from right port, and the piston magnet and main body attracts each other, so main body will be moved to right side with piston.
- When air gets in the cylinder from right port, the piston will be pushed to left side by air, and the air in stainless steel tube will be exhausted from left port, then the main body will be moved to left side with piston.

- Please make sure there is back pressure in cylinder to prevent the piston from actuating suddenly.
- When air gets in the cylinder from right port, the piston will be pushed to left side by air, and the air in aluminum tube will be exhausted from left port. The slider and piston is integrated structure, when piston moves to left, then the slider will be pushed to left as well.
- When air gets in the cylinder from left port, the piston will be pushed to right side by air, and the air in aluminum tube will be exhausted from right port, and the slider will be pushed to right.
